Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman presents a compelling argument regarding emotions, how they affect numerous aspects of a person, ways to be observant of one’s own emotions as well as the emotions of people we encounter throughout our lives and what it means to be aware and empathetic towards ours and others’ emotions.

It is a well-written book that easily explains why emotional intelligence is important and argues that it may even be more important than IQ. The book was quick to read. I found the subject matter interesting and there were times where I had a hard time putting the book down.

I think anybody could benefit from reading this book; it is helpful in dealing with, not only your own emotions, but others’ emotions as well. It can help in many relationships – marriages, friendships, business, familial relationships, etc. I have recommended this book to family and friends.

Thanks for stopping by and reading this book review! Don’t forget to check out the others and to come back again!
